📅 On 22nd September 2026, a grand event was organized at the State Agricultural Extension & Training Center, Barkhedi Kala, Bhopal. The conference witnessed participation from 300 FPO representatives across 60 districts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
🏆 13 FPOs were felicitated for their outstanding work in different sectors. Key highlights included:
- Damoh Women FPO showcasing mushroom production, processing & marketing
- Mandsaur Agro Industry pioneering fiber extraction from linseed stalks
- Korba’s Pali FPO excelling in turmeric production, processing & marketing
👥 The program was chaired by Mr. D.L. Kori (Director, CIAT & Additional Director, Farmer Welfare & Agriculture Department). Special presence included:
- Farmer leaders from Berasia – Mr. Padam Singh Thakur & Mr. Ashok Patel
- Madhyabharat Consortium Chairman Mr. Punnulal Nanda
- CEO Mr. Yogesh Dwivedi, who presented the Annual Plan for 2026-27 and set a business target of ₹300 crore for all FPOs.
💬 Addressing the gathering, Mr. Dwivedi emphasized: “In the coming years, Farmer Producer Organizations will play a crucial role in strengthening both the state and national GDP.”
🌟 The prestigious Madhyabharat Krishiratna Award was announced for Senior IAS Officer & current Principal Secretary (General Administration), Mr. M. Selvendran, recognizing his remarkable contributions as former Agriculture Commissioner & Secretary.
