
The CEO of MBCFPCL had the privilege of attending a National Consultation Workshop on Agriculture, Climate, and Gender at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi, organized by FWWB India. The workshop addressed the profound impact of climate change on agriculture, particularly on smallholder and women farmers, and explored the role of farmer collectives in mitigating these challenges. Discussions also covered successful initiatives across India and critical policy reforms needed to strengthen the Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) ecosystem.
The event featured distinguished representatives from global organizations such as FAO, IFAD, and Ford Foundation, alongside esteemed experts including Dr. Sukhpal Singh, Professor at IIMA Ahmedabad; Mr. P. Suryakumar, former DMD of NABARD; Mr. Pravesh Sharma, former IAS and Chairman of NAFPO; Mr. Bhatt, CEO of FWWB; Mr. C.S. Reddy from APMAS; and Professor Trilochan Shastri from IIMB Bangalore, among other luminaries from the agriculture and development sectors.
