
Role of Agriculture & FPOs Crucial in Making India the World’s Third Largest Economy – Shri Rajendra Shukla
On August 12, 2025, the Madhya Bharat Consortium of Farmers Producer Company Limited, a state-level federation of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), organized its Annual FPO Conference and State-Level Workshop at the auditorium of the State Agricultural Extension and Training Institute, Bhadbhada Road, Bhopal. The event witnessed participation from representatives of over 500 FPOs across 48 districts of Madhya Pradesh, along with FPOs from Chhattisgarh. The Chief Guest, Shri Rajendra Shukla, Deputy Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, and the Special Guest, Smt. Archana Chitnis, former Minister and MLA from Burhanpur, addressed the gathering via video conference from Delhi. In his keynote address, Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla praised the various farmer-centric schemes initiated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, especially the ambitious 10,000 New FPO Project. He emphasized that these initiatives are pivotal in advancing agri-business and positioning India as the third-largest economy globally, with agriculture and FPOs playing a vital role in this transformation.
