On 17 July, 25 newly joined trainees from SIATE (State Institute of Agricultural Extension and Training) visited the Madhya Bharat Consortium of Farmer Producer Companies for a focused exposure on the functioning and impact of FPOs.
The session was led by Mr. Yogesh Dwivedi, CEO of the Consortium, alongside Mr. Shailendra Sharma, offering insights into:
- The operational models of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs)
- Ground-level implementation strategies for farmer empowerment
- Digital transformation and outreach practices across 50+ FPOs
Through interactive presentations and field narratives, the visit provided trainees a real-time understanding of agri-entrepreneurship, collective marketing, and the transformative role of FPOs in modern agriculture.
