In celebration of International Women’s Month, NABARD Chief General Manager Smt. C. Saraswati visited Damoh district to strengthen rural entrepreneurship and sustainable agriculture.
Highlights of the visit included:
- Inauguration of a Custom Hiring Centre (CHC) by Khaderi FPO, giving farmers access to modern machinery on rental basis.
- A grant of ₹2,00,000 to Ganesh Self-Help Group for eco-friendly plate production.
- Distribution of ₹50 lakh worth of sanction letters by MP Gramin Bank to self-help and joint liability groups.
Smt. Saraswati emphasized women empowerment, self-reliance, and grassroots development, engaging with local farmers, FPO members, and stakeholders in strategic discussions.
